Answer:

initial velocity = 7.44 m/s   (3 s.f.)

Explanation:

a = 6.24 m/s²     t = 0.300 s     v = 9.31 m/s       u = ?

                               v = u + at

                       9.31 = u + (6.24 x 0.300)

                             9.31 = u + 1.872

                                    u = 7.438

                                    = 7.44 m/s       (3 s.f.)

Hope this helps!

A test of the prototype of a new automobile shows that the minimum distance for a controlled stop from 95 km/h to zero is 55 m.
iris [78.8K]

Answer:

-0.64525g

Explanation:

t = Time taken for the car to stop

u = Initial velocity = 95 km/h

v = Final velocity = 0 km/h

s = Displacement

a = Acceleration

Equation of motion

v^2-u^2=2as\\\Rightarrow a=\frac{v^2-u^2}{2s}\\\Rightarrow a=\frac{0^2-95^2}{2\times 0.055}\\\Rightarrow a=-82045.45\ km/h^2

Converting to m/s²

a=82045.45=\frac{82045.45\times 1000}{3600\times 3600}=-6.33\ m/s^2

g = Acceleration due to gravity = 9.81 m/s²

Dividing both the accelerations, we get

\frac{a}{g}=\frac{-6.33}{9.81}=-0.64525\\\Rightarrow a=-0.64525g

Hence, acceleration of the car is -0.64525g

Give examples of plants that can reproduce by vegetative reproduction.
marishachu [46]

Answer:

Some examples of vegetative propagation are farmers creating repeated crops of apples, corn, mangoes or avocados through asexual plant reproduction rather than planting seeds. Vegetative propagation can be accomplished from side-shoots, slips, stems and sections of tubers, bulbs or rhizomes.

The diameter of Earth (to two significant figures) is 7900 miles. Calculate its circumference.
Bess [88]

Answer:

The circumference of the Earth is 24818.58 miles

Explanation:

Analysis conceptual : The formula of the circumference is the following:

L= π*D Formula (1)

Where:

L : is the length of the circumference in miles (mi)

π : is the constant

D : is the diameter of the circumference in miles (mi)

Known data

π = 3.1416

D= 7900 miles:  Diameter of the Earth

Problem development

We apply the formula 1 to calculate the circumference of the Earth  (L):

L= π*7900 miles

L= 24818.58 miles
