Answer:

Profit maximising price = 48

Explanation:

Total Cost : C (x) = 8x + 3

Demand Curve : p (x) = 88 − 2x

Total Revenue = p (x). x = x (88 - 2x) = 88x - 2x^2

Profit maximisation is where Marginal Cost (MC) = Marginal Revenue (MR)

MC = d TC / d Q = d (8x + 3) / d x = 8

MR = d TR / d Q = d (88x - 2x^2) / d x = 88 - 4x

Equating MR & MC ,

88 - 4x = 8 , 88 - 8 = 4x

x = 80 / 4 , x = 20

Putting value in demand curve,

p = 88 - 2x = 88 - 2 (20) = 88 - 40

p = 48

labwork [276]

When we use the IRS rule which states the standard deduction amount should be greater than $900 or the income earned by the taxpayer for the year in addition with $300 (should not be exceeding the regular standard deduction). Income earned by Toby is $2,897, then add

$300 into it.

The correct standard deduction amount would then be $3,197 ($2,897 +300)=$3197.

Standard deduction is the deduction given by the income tax authorities to the tax payer.

Internal revenue bulletin is the instrument used by the IRS for announcing all the rules.

Answer:

1. Pronghorn shipped goods costing $54,380 to Hemlock Company FOB shipping point on December 28. The goods are not expected to reach Hemlock until January 12. The goods were not included in the physical inventory because they were not in the warehouse.

 • These goods were correctly excluded from the inventory account because the purchase was FOB shipping point, which means that title passes to the buyer once the goods leave the sellers shipyard or warehouse.

2. The physical count of the inventory did not include goods costing $96,250 that were shipped to Pronghorn FOB destination on December 27 and were still in transit at year-end.

 • These goods were correctly excluded from the inventory account because the purchase was FOB destination, which means that title passes to the buyer only after the goods are delivered.

3. Pronghorn received goods costing $27,180 on January 2. The goods were shipped FOB shipping point on December 26 by Yanice Co. The goods were not included in the physical count.

 • They should have been included in the inventory account because the purchase was FOB shipping point, which means that title passes to the buyer once the goods leave the sellers shipyard or warehouse.

4. Pronghorn shipped goods costing $46,830 to Ehler of Canada FOB destination on December 30. The goods were received in Canada on January 8. They were not included in Pronghorn physical inventory.

Answer:

Unfortunately, like Monica had no earned income and they're filing jointly, Roy and Monica can't claim the credit. The correct answer is B. US$ 0.

Explanation:

1. Let's review the information given to us to answer the question correctly:

Roy and Monica are married and will file a joint return.

While Roy works and Monica looks for work, Rachel stays at Wee Care.

Amount paid by child care in 2011 = US$ 1,500

Roy's earned income = US$ 24,000

Monica's earned income = US$ 0

2. What is the amount of their child and dependent care credit?

IRS, on publication 503, related to Child and Dependent Care Expenses is crystal-clear. Taking from the official document, "You Must Have Earned Income . To claim the credit, you (and your spouse if filing jointly) must have earned income during the year."

Unfortunately, like Monica had no earned income and they're filing jointly, Roy and Monica can't claim the credit.
