In which city did the wright brothers take off on their very first flight
Nezavi [6.7K]
<h2>Answer: Kitty Hawk, North Carolina </h2>

The Wright brothers, Wilbur and Orville, were pioneers of aviation, since they flew in a device heavier than air, which was inconceivable at that time.

Their first successful flight was on December 17th, 1903 in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, which lasted only 12 seconds in which their plane (the Flyer I, with 341 kg, 6.4 m long and a wingspan of 12.3 m) traveled 37 m without touching the ground. This was achieved through the help of an external catapult that "threw" them into the air.

It should be noted that the Wright brothers only studied until high school, however, their passion for solving the problem of the human inability to fly, their perseverance and experience acquired over the years in their bicycle company, led them to reach that goal. An achievement that marked the beginning of the  aviation era.

You compress a spring by a certain distance. then you decide to compress it further so that its elastic potential energy increas
Likurg_2 [28]
Elastic potential energy = 1/2 k * change of x^2
k- coefficient
x - change in length.
to increase energy 1.5 times you have to change x (compress) into \sqrt{1.5}  times (it's abot 1.22 or 22%)

If position vector r = bt^2i + ct^3j, where b and c are positive constants, when does the velocity vector make an angle of 450 w
vazorg [7]

\vec r(t)=bt^2\,\vec\imath+ct^3\,\vec\jmath

The velocity at time t is

\dfrac{\mathrm d\vec r(t)}{\mathrm dt}=2bt\,\vec\imath+3ct^2\,\vec\jmath

Take two vectors that point in the positive x and positive y directions, such as \vec\imath and \vec\jmath. The dot products of the velocity vector with \vec\imath and \vec\jmath are

\dfrac{\mathrm d\vec r(t)}{\mathrm dt}\cdot\vec\imath=2bt=\sqrt{4b^2t^2+9c^2t^4}\cos\theta

and

\dfrac{\mathrm d\vec r(t)}{\mathrm dt}\cdot\vec\jmath=3ct^2=\sqrt{4b^2t^2+9c^2t^4}\cos\theta

We want the angles between these vectors to be 45º, for which we have \cos45^\circ=\frac1{\sqrt2}. So

\begin{cases}2\sqrt2\,bt=\sqrt{4b^2t^2+9c^2t^4}\\3\sqrt2\,ct^2=\sqrt{4b^2t^2+9c^2t^4}\end{cases}\implies3\sqrt2\,ct^2-2\sqrt2\,bt=0

\implies t(3ct-2b)=0

\implies t=0\text{ or }t=\dfrac{2b}{3c}

When t=0, the velocity vector is equal to the zero vector, which technically has no direction/doesn't make an angle with any other vector. So the only time this happens is for

\boxed{t=\dfrac{2b}{3c}}

______ Made geocentric model of the solar system using epicycles
stiks02 [169]

Answer:

Ptolemy made geocentric model of the solar system using epicycles

Explanation:

Ptolemy made geocentric model of the solar system using epicycles.

This model accounted for the apparent motions of the planets in a very direct way, by assuming that each planet moved on a small circle, called an epicycle, which moved on a larger circle, called a deferent.

Therefore, Ptolemy is the answer.
