The image of the 3 cables used to support the flower pot is not given so i have attached it.

Answer:

F_ab = 523.2 N

F_ac = 392.4 N

F_ad ≈ 762.7 N

Explanation:

First of all, let's Calculate the sum of forces around the z-axis.

But before then, we need to resolve the distances along the 3 axis to get;

1.5/√(1.5² + 2² + 1.5²) = 0.5145

Thus;

ΣF_z = 0;

(F_ad × 0.5145) - (40 × 9.81) = 0

Where;

(40 × 9.81) is the weight of the flower pot.

F_ad is the force in cable AD

Thus;

0.5145F_ad - 392.4 = 0

F_ad = 392.4/0.5145

F_ad ≈ 762.7 N

Now, let's do the same for the x-axis;

ΣF_z = 0;

Since x = 1.5, just like z was the same 1.5, we will adopt same resolved distance.

F_ac - F_ad(0.5145) = 0

Where F_ac is force in cable AC

F_ac = 762.7 × 0.5145

F_ac = 392.4 N

Lastly, for the y-axis;

ΣF_y = 0;

y is 2 and so, we need to recalculate the resolved distance.

F_ab - F_ad(2/√(1.5² + 2² + 1.5²)) = 0

Where F_ab is the force in cable AB

F_ab = 762.7 × 0.686

F_ab = 523.2 N

Which of the following statements is true? Sound waves create areas of high and low pressure. Areas of high pressure are called
blsea [12.9K]

Answer:

All of the above

Explanation:

Sound waves are mechanical waves consisting of the oscillations of the particles in a medium. They are longitudinal waves, which means that the vibrations of the particles occur in a direction parallel to the direction of propagation of the wave.

This type of wave consists of alternating regions where:

- the density of the particles is higher: these regions are called compressions, and they correspond to high pressure regions

- the density of the particles is lower: these regions are called rarefactions, and they correspond to low pressure regions

At what pressure will the mean free path in room-temperature (20?c) nitrogen be 1.5 m ?
kondaur [170]
In physical chemistry, the mean free path is the average distance between the atoms during collision. Its formula is

 Mean \ free \ path \ = \frac{RT}{ \sqrt{2}  \pi  d^{2} N_{A}P  }

where d is the diameter of the Nitrogen atom (d = 310 x 10^-7 m), Na is Avogadro's number (Na=6.022 x 10^23), R is the gas constant (8.314 J/mol-K), T is the absolute temperature (T= 20 + 273 = 293 K). Substituting the values,

1.5 = \frac{(8.314)(293)}{ \sqrt{2} \pi (310 \ x\ 10^{-7} )^{2} (6.022 \ x\ 10^{23} )P }
P = 6.32 x 10^-13 Pascals

What is meant by magnetic field
Darina [25.2K]

Answer:

a. Magnetic field is a location of a vector field around an electric current or magnet formed due to moving electric charges, or magnetic material and has a magnetic effect and exerts a force on other magnetic materials, electric current, and electric charges. The Earth's magnetic field that has the effect of turning a compass needle is an example of a magnetic field

b. The number of turns of the coil, N, in Diagram 1.1 > The number of turns of the coil, N, in Diagram 1.2

The pattern of the iron filings in Diagram 1.1 are closer with less space in between than the pattern of iron filings in Diagram 1.2

The angle of deflection of the ammeter pointer in Diagram 1.1 will be > The angle of deflection of the ammeter pointer in Diagram 1.2, given that the number of turns and current are inversely proportional

c. i. The pattern of the iron filings will have rings which are more closely arranged to each other as the strength of the magnetic field is increased

ii. As the number of turns is increased, the magnetic field is increased
