Glucocorticoids are steroid hormones that control cellular responses through several different signaling pathways. One of the si

gnaling pathways involves the glucocorticoid receptor, an intracellular protein that is activated by binding to a glucocorticoid molecule. A simplified model of the glucocorticoid receptor signaling pathway is represented in Figure 1.
Which of the following statements best predicts the effect of a mutation that results in a loss of the glucocorticoid receptor’s ligand binding function?

Match each biodiversity restoration method to its description.
timofeeve [1]

Match each biodiversity restoration method to its description we have:

 • reforestation: using plants to absorb harmful compounds
 • biological augmentation: using plants to control a native plant population
 • bioremediation:using plants to increase biodiversity and food resources

What are ecological restoration techniques?

Some examples of induced ecological restoration methodologies are the conduction of natural regeneration, nucleation techniques, enrichment or diversity planting, among others.

In this case, the ecological restoration techniques are:

 • reforestation: using plants to absorb harmful compounds
 • biological augmentation: using plants to control a native plant population
 • bioremediation: using plants to increase biodiversity and food resources

What is the purpose of using genetic engineering to create edible vaccines?
Georgia [21]

A benefit of genetic engineering is the production of valuable proteins that have helped in managing of illness in human beings. Bacteria were genetically engineered to produce proteins of medical importance. One example of such a protein is human insulin which is given the name humulin and is made using E. coli bacteria.Earlier, insulin from pig cells was used to treat patients with diabetes but many of them could not tolerate it because it has a slightly different arrangement of amino acids from that of humans and so the human body rejects it. Humulin is tolerated by the human body and so many patients are now using it to lead normal lives.

Pls help me I need a answer asap
madreJ [45]

Answer:

The correct order is -

a. 5 > 3 > 4 > 1 > 2 .

Explanation:

In sedimentary rocks, the bottom layer of the rock form initial and the fossils found in them would be older and the layer on top deposited the latest so the fossils found in the top layer would be the youngest.

Newer layers form or deposited on the layers of the oldest or bottom layer of the sedimentary rocks. Hence, the fossils present in the bottom layer would be the oldest fossil and newer fossils will be above them and the youngest would be top.

Thus, the correct answer is - a. 5 > 3 > 4 > 1 > 2 .
