Answer:

Materials can be classified based on the amount of light they transmit. Materials, which allow complete transmission of light, are called transparent. Any object can be seen through a transparent material. One example of transparent material is pure glass.

A soccer ball is kicked from the ground with an initial speed v at an upward angle θ. A player a distance d away in the directio
Nady [450]

Answer:

The speed of player is given by

V=\frac{2v^{2} 2sin\alpha.cos\alpha-gd }{2vsin\alpha}

Explanation:

The time of flight for a projectile motion is given by

T=\frac{2vsin\alpha }{g}    (i)

where t is the time of flight, v is the initial speed, and α is the angle.

Now the person must also reach the impact point of ball in the same time as above.

Now the total distance D the player needs to cover is basically R horizontal range of projectile minus the distance d, range R is given by,

R=\frac{2v^{2} sin2\alpha }{g}

Now the distance the player must cover is given by

D= R-d

D= \frac{2v^{2} sin2\alpha }{g}  - d

D=\frac{2v^{2}sin2\alpha-gd}{g}  (ii)

Now the average speed of player is given by

V=\frac{D}{T}   (iii)

Replacing the values of D and T from eq. (i) and (ii) in eq. (iii).

V=\frac{\frac{2v^{2} sin2\alpha-gd }{g}}{\frac{2vsin\alpha }{g} }

V=\frac{2v^{2} 2sin\alpha.cos\alpha-gd }{2vsin\alpha}

A converging lens has a focal length of 20 cm. An object 1 cm tall is placed 10 cm from the center of the lens. What is the heig
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer: 2 cm

Explanation:

Given , for a converging lens

Focal length : f=20\ cm

Height of object : h=1\ cm

Object distabce from lens : u=-10\ cm

Using lens formula: \dfrac{1}{f}=\dfrac{1}{v}-\dfrac{1}{u}, we get

\dfrac{1}{20}=\dfrac{1}{v}+\dfrac{1}{10}, where v = image distance from the lens.

On solving aboive equation , we get

\dfrac{1}{v}=\dfrac{1}{20}-\dfrac{1}{10}=\dfrac{1-2}{20}=\dfrac{-1}{20}\Rightarrow\ v=-20\ cm

Formula of Magnification : m=\dfrac{v}{u}=\dfrac{h'}{h} , where h' is the height of image.

Put value of u, v and h in it , we get

\dfrac{-20}{-10}=\dfrac{h'}{1}\\\\\Rightarrow\ h'=2\ cm

Hence, the height of the image is 2 cm.

A train is moving west with an initial velocity of 20m/s accelerates at 4m/s for 10 seconds during this time the train moves a d
alex41 [277]

Answer:

400m

Explanation:

From Newton's law of motion;

S = ut + 1/2 at2

Where U is initial velocity

a is acceleration

t is velocity hence;

S is distance covered

S = 20×10 + 1/2 × 4×(10)^2

= 200 + 200 = 400m
