We need to find :-

• When y = 9 find x

Solution :-

Using proportion ,

• - 7 : - 21 : : 9 : x

By means & extremes ,

=> - 7x = - 21 × 9

=> x = ( - 21 × 9 ) / - 7

=> x = 3 × 9

=> x = 27

Hence , when y = 9 → x = 27
