Answer: 14 tons

$3,860.50

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x = the amount of sugar transported.

First company:

The cost is $3157 truck rental plus $50.25 per ton of sugar.

Total cost = 3157 + 50.25x dollars

Second company:

There is no charge for truck rental, but it costs $275.75 per ton of sugar.

The total cost is

275.75x

When the two costs are the same, then

275.75x = 3157 +50.25x

225.5x = 3157

x = 14 tons

The total cost is 275.75*14 = $3,860.50

Answer:

16 pounds of sugar

The initial cost to transport it would be $4812

Okay

So lets do company 1=a

2=b

So the equation for company a is

3604+75.5x

The second one is

300.75x

Now I would find the LCM

So I just predicted (guess and check)

so obviously 15 can be a good shot but that off a little bit,

16

so if you plug in 16 for each options for X

3604+75.5*16= 4812

The second company

300.75*16=4812

SO their the same

So 4812 cost, 16 tons

What is m∠PTR? a. 12 b. 40 c. 50 d. 140 HELP!!!
kramer

Answer:

m<PTR = 140°

Step-by-step explanation:

First, find the value of x. To find the value of x, derive an equation which you'd use in solving for x.

m<PTQ = (x + 28)°

m<RTS = (2x + 16)°

m<PTQ = m<RTS (vertical opposite angles are congruent)

Therefore:

x + 28 = 2x + 16

Solve for x. Combine like terms

28 - 16 = 2x - x

12 = x

x = 12

Find m<PTQ

m<PTQ = (x + 28)

plug in the value of x

m<PTQ = 12 + 28 = 40°

m<PTR + m<PTQ = 180° (supplementary angles)

m<PTR + 40° = 180° (substitution)

m<PTR = 180 - 40 (subtracting 40 from each side)

m<PTR = 140°

Write a unit rate for the situation. 880 calories in 8 servings
enyata [817]

Answer:

It would be 110 calories per serving

Step-by-step explanation:

So a unit rate is measuring how much of something is there if one unit of another thing is present. In this case, there are 8 servings and 880 calories. Now, simply divide both sides by 8 in order to get the unit rate for each serving:

880/8 ---> 110 calories per serving
