Answer: 14 tons

$3,860.50

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x = the amount of sugar transported.

First company:

The cost is $3157 truck rental plus $50.25 per ton of sugar.

Total cost = 3157 + 50.25x dollars

Second company:

There is no charge for truck rental, but it costs $275.75 per ton of sugar.

The total cost is

275.75x

When the two costs are the same, then

275.75x = 3157 +50.25x

225.5x = 3157

x = 14 tons

The total cost is 275.75*14 = $3,860.50

Answer:

16 pounds of sugar

The initial cost to transport it would be $4812

Okay

So lets do company 1=a

2=b

So the equation for company a is

3604+75.5x

The second one is

300.75x

Now I would find the LCM

So I just predicted (guess and check)

so obviously 15 can be a good shot but that off a little bit,

16

so if you plug in 16 for each options for X

3604+75.5*16= 4812

The second company

300.75*16=4812

SO their the same

So 4812 cost, 16 tons

Answer:

 48%

Step-by-step explanation:

The conditional probability definition applies.

 P(med | cold) = P(med & cold) / P(cold)

The probabilities are the table numbers divided by the total of all numbers in the table (100). Since that dividend is the same for all, we can basically ignore it and just use the table numbers.

 P(med | cold) = (12)/(8+12+5) = 12/25 = 48/100

 P(med | cold) = 48%

I dont understand the question
Nonamiya [84]

Answer: Choice C) x^4 - 2

Explanation:

If the exponent is negative, then that means we apply the reciprocal. So something like x^(-2) becomes 1/(x^2). A polynomial cannot have a variable in the denominator like this. So we can rule out choices A, B, and D. Choice C is the only thing left. It is a polynomial because the exponent is a positive whole number.
