I'm going to assume that you mean questions 1-5, so here we go:

1: w+4=16
You know that you need to find what w is equal to, so you need to get it on its own. To do that, you have to get rid of the four, so subtract 4 from each side.
w+4-4= 16-4
w=12

2. x+7= -12
This one is a little trickier, because the 12 is a negative. You still need to get x on its own, so subtract 7 from each side.
x+7-7= -12-7
-12-7= -19

so: x= -19

5. -2= y-9
This one is like the others, except it is subtracting instead of adding. If it helps, we will switch the problem around to make it easier to work with:
y-9= -2
First, you have to get y on its own, so to get rid of the 9, you have to add 9 to each side.
y-9+9= -2+9
Now we have:
y= 7

If you still need help with the rest of the questions, let me know and I'll talk you through the rest of them. Hope I can be of assistance;)

PLEASE HELP
lukranit [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

l = 34 cm

height = 30 cm

radius = 16 cm

surface area of cone = πr (l +r)

=3.14 *16 (34 + 16)

=50.24*50

=2512 cm^2

volume of a cone = \frac{1}{3}πr^2h

=\frac{1}{3}*3.14*16^2 *30

=1.0466*256*30

=8037.888

=8037.89 cm^3

Charlie has a piece of toast that has cream cheese on one side, and he dropped it once. One time, it landed with the cream chees
Leya [2.2K]

Answer:

Probability of landing  cream cheese side up 3 times is tex]\frac{1}{4}[/tex]

Step-by-step explanation:

The probability of getting cheese side up is one half (\frac{1}{2}.

And this probability does not depend on the result of the last time you dropped it or the result before that.

So every time you drop a piece of toast the probability of getting cheese side up is one half (\frac{1}{2}.

Charlie has already dropped it once (1st time) and it landed on cream cheese side up. So probability for this is 1 because it has already happened.

Next time (2nd time) he drops, the probability of landing cream cheese side up is \frac{1}{2}

When he drops the piece of toast again (3rd time) the probability of landing cheese side up is again \frac{1}{2}.

So the probability of landing  cream cheese side up 3 times is,

1*\frac{1}{2} *\frac{1}{2}

=\frac{1}{4}
