Which of the following equations represents a line parallel to 4x - y = -5?
pickupchik [31]
Correct answers are A, C and D.

Parallel lines have equal slopes.

4x - y = -5 ⇒ y = 4x + 5 ⇒ m = 4
8x - 2y = -10 ⇒ 4x - y = -5 ⇒ m = 4
4x + y = -2 ⇒ y = -4x - 2 ⇒ m = -4
4x - y = 2 ⇒ y = 4x - 2 ⇒ m = 4
2x - \frac{1}{2}y = -\frac{5}{2}\Rightarrow4x-y=-5 \Rightarrow y=4x+5 \Rightarrow m=4

If f(x) = g(x) - 2 , then *<br> g(x) = f(x) - 2<br> f(x) = g(x) + 2<br> g(x) = f(x) + 2
shusha [124]

Answer:

g(x) = f(x) + 2

Step-by-step explanation:

To move the two to the other side of the equation, you have to add the two to both sides of the equation.  The 2 cancels out on the g(x) side, and a 2 is added to the f(x) side.
