Explanation: This is a punnet square. Let's say your mum has brown eyes and your father has brown eyes too. Why? Their alleles (different forms of the same gene) contain the genetic information Bb and Bb. B stands from brown dominant meaning that would be your father's and mother's eye colour. However, the lowercase b represents blue eyes. They have an allele for getting blue eyes but they don't express it because it is always recessive. When the egg in a woman's womb is fertilised, it connects with the sperm cell and makes genetic information and DNA. The punnet square shows the different combinations of alleles the new baby would have. BB = brown Bb= still brown bb= blue
