Linear is the answer

For quadratic either the x or y would need to be raised to the 2nd power which they aren’t

Same for exponential ( no variables are raised to any exponent)

The are no brackets representing taking the absolute value of any variable so that can’t be right

You can always test a few values for x to graph the y result to see that in this case it does graph a line

Mary invests $800 into a high interest savings account. In the first year, the value of her saving increases by 8%. In the secon
g100num [7]

Answer:

The Total value after 2 years=933.12

Step-by-step explanation:

The total value of Mary's investment after two years  can be expressed as;

Total value=(Initial investment+Interest)

where;

For the first year,

Initial investment=$800

Interest=Initial investment×interest rate×time

where; Initial investment=800, Interest rate=8%, time=1 year

replacing;

Interest=800×(8/100)×1=$64

Interest=$64

Total value after 1 year=(800+64)=$864

For the second year,

Initial investment=$864

Interest=Initial investment×interest rate×time

where; Initial investment=864, Interest rate=8%, time=1 year

replacing;

Interest=864×(8/100)×1=$69.12

Interest=$69.12

Total value after 2 years=(864+69.12)=$933.12

The Total value after 2 years=933.12

The sum of present ages of John and his father is 58 years. If John is 24 years younger than his father, then find the present a
Harrizon [31]

Answer:

father is 41

Step-by-step explanation:

J = johns age

f = fathers age

j+f = 58

j = f-24

Substitute the second equation into the first

f-24 +f = 58

2f -24= 58

Add 24 to each side

2f = 58+24

2f =82

f = 82/2

f = 41

Find the area. Of the congruent figure. Use decimals in your answer if necessary.
Natali5045456 [20]

Answer:

200.5 km

Step-by-step explanation:

So we can break up this irregular polygon into many smaller easier to calculate kind of polygons like rectangle, or triangles.

We can break up this figure into 4 smaller ones:

3 rectangles:

a) a 23 by 5 size

b) a 12 by 4 size

c) a 4 by 5 size

1 triangle

a) 7 by 5 size

You find the area and add them up to get 200.5 km^2

Please help me, i need branliest answers. I hope u help me:)

Solving a percent mixture problem using a linear equationSamantha vEspelTwo factory plants are making TV panels. Yesterday, Plan
Alborosie

ANSWER

Number of panels produced by plant B: 20000

EXPLANATION

First we have to name the variables. We're looking for the number of panels produced by plant B and also we don't know the number of panels produced by plant A.

Let x be the number of panels produced by plant A and y the number of panels produced by plant B.

We know that plant A produced 7000 fewer panels than plant B. This as an equation is:

x=y-7000

To solve this we need to find another equation, because we have two variables.

The other equation is the one with the defective panels. The total number of defective panels produced by both plants is 860, and we know that represents the 2% of produced panels from plant A and 3% of produced panels from plant B. To find the number that represents that percentage we divide the percentage by 100 and multiply by the total amount. For the 2% of plant A this is:

\frac{2}{100}\cdot x=0.02x

And the 3% of plant B is:

\frac{3}{100}\cdot y=0.03y

So the second equation is:

0.02x+0.03y=860

Since we only want to find y, which is the number of panels produced by plant B, we can use the substitution method. Substitute the first equation into the second - in other words, replace x in the second equation by y - 7000:

0.02(y-7000)+0.03y=860

To solve for y, first apply the distributive property of multiplication:

\begin{gathered} 0.02y-0.02\cdot7000+0.03y=860 \\ 0.02y-140+0.03y=860 \end{gathered}

Add like terms:

\begin{gathered} (0.02y+0.03y)-140=860 \\ 0.05y-140=860 \end{gathered}

Add 140 on both sides of the equation:

\begin{gathered} 0.05y-140+140=860+140 \\ 0.05y=1000 \end{gathered}

And divide both sides by 0.05:

\begin{gathered} \frac{0.05y}{0.05}=\frac{1000}{0.05} \\ y=20000 \end{gathered}

This result means that <em>plant B produced 20000 TV panels in total.</em>
