Solution:

The perimeter of a rectangle is:

P=2(l+w)

Where, l is the length and w is the width.

Putting P=24,l=y,w=x, we get

24=2(y+x)

Divide both sides by 2.

12=y+x

12-x=y

The possible values of x are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and the respective possible y values are 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

Therefore, the value of y in terms of x is y=12-x.
