Answer:

Our body produces heat energy.

Explanation:

When our body temperature decreases than normal range, our body produces heat to maintain internal heat in the normal range. Our internal body temperature is regulated by hypothalamus which is a part of our brain. The hypothalamus regulate the temperature and take actions to maintain it in the normal range of temperature which is about 37°C. If our body temperature is too low, the hypothalamus order to the body to generates heat energy and maintains heat in the normal range. The sweat glands remain inactive in order to prevent heat losses.

When the cardiac muscle cell is at rest, the concentration of _____________ is greater on the outside of the cell?
nordsb [41]

When the cardiac muscle cell is at rest, the concentration of sodium and calcium is greater on the outside of the cell.

The resting membrane potential (the cardiac muscle cell is at rest) is characterized by more negatively charged inside of the membrane comparing to the outside. The main ions found outside the cell at rest are: sodium (Na+), and chloride (Cl−), and Ca2+ whereas inside the cell it is mainly potassium (K+).

Which best describes the life cycles of moss and angiosperm?
jonny [76]

Ans. Option (IV).

Mosses can be defined as non-vascular, flowerless plants that are found in shady or damp regions and reproduce via haploid spores. During reproduction in moss, haploid male gametes or spores are released into surrounding environment that fuse with female spores to form zygote that develop into mature sporophyte.

Angiosperms are vascular, flowering plants that reproduce by seeds. During reproduction in angiosperms, haploid male gametes or pollen grains are released into surrounding environment that fuse with female gametes or eggs to form zygote that develop into seed.

Thus, the correct answer is option (IV).
