Answer:

When fossil fuels are bumed they release toxic gases into the air that cause pollution and increase global warming

Explanation:

Fossil fuels are fuels which were formed from the remains of dead plants and animals buried underground for millions of years ago, which anaerobic bacteria and the high pressure and heat underground transformed into the fuels as we know them today. Fossil fuels are mainly hydrocarbons and they include coal, petroleum, natural gas, oil shales, bitumens, tar sands, and heavy oils.

The combustion of fossils fuels today provides the majority of the energy used by man worldwide. Energy from fossil fuels power our homes and industries, cars, trains aeroplanes, etc.

However, the combustion of fossil fuels impacts the environment negatively. Fossil fuels produce carbon dioxide as end-products when burnt which pollutes the airanspd is a major greenhouse gas contributing to global warming.

Combustion of fossil fuels releases acidic gases such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide to the environment resulting in acid rains as well as many unpredictable and negative changes in the environment.

What is the energy of a photon of yellow light with a frequency of 5.2 x 10¹⁴ Hz?<br><br>
3241004551 [841]

Answer:

3.4x10⁻¹⁹J is the energy of the photon

Explanation:

To find the energy of a photon from its frequency we must use the equation:

E = hf

<em>Where E is the energy of the photon in J, our incognite</em>

<em>h is Planck's constant = 6.6262x10⁻³⁴Js</em>

<em>And f is the frequency = 5.2x10¹⁴Hz = 5.2x10¹⁴s⁻¹</em>

<em />

Replacing:

E = 6.6262x10⁻³⁴Js*5.2x10¹⁴s⁻¹

E = 3.4x10⁻¹⁹J is the energy of the photon

How many molecules are there in 2.30 grams of NH3
mixer [17]
<span>Avogadro's number represents the number of units in one mole of any substance. This has the value of 6.022 x 10^23 units / mole. This number can be used to convert the number of atoms or molecules into number of moles. We calculate as follows:

2.30 g NH3 (1 mol / 17.03 g ) (</span>6.022 x 10^23 molecules / 1 mol ) = 8.13x10^22 molecules

Describe the relationship between"q" and energy in the melting of an ice cube.
klio [65]

Answer:

Now "q" is  the heat and energy is the capacity of any object or body ton perform any work. So we can relate them if we take the term specific heat in consideration.

As specific heat is the the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of an object in specific from one degree Celsius, for ice it is 2.108 kJ/kgK.

Explanation:

  • c = specific heat capacity,

  • q = heat

  • ΔT = change in temperature

So, we have:

  • C= Q/ΔT
  • It is the ratio of the amount of heat energy transferred to an object to the resulting increase in temperature of the object.
