Answer:

Yes, mitochondria transfers energy to the cell.

Explanation:

A cell can be defined as the fundamental or basic functional, structural and smallest unit of life for all living organisms. Some living organisms are unicellular while others are multicellular in nature.

A unicellular organism refers to a living organism that possess a single-cell while a multicellular organism has many (multiple) cells.

Muscle cells use more energy than most other cells in the body. Because of this, muscle cells must have more mitochondria.

Basically, mitochondria is one of the cell organelles found in all living organisms and it is known as the powerhouse. Therefore, mitochondria provides all the energy required in the cell by transforming energy forms through series of chemical reactions; breaking down of glucose into Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) used for providing energy for cellular activities in the body of living organisms.

Explain why you can't fully test the lipase activity in tube 5.
solniwko [45]
The  reason  why  you  cant  test  the  activity  of  Lipase in  test  tube  5  is  because in test  tube  5  the  PH  is  low.  This  decrease  in  pH  might  make   it  difficult  to  detect  the  activity  of  lipase  since  the  optimal  ph  of   pancreatic  lipase  is  around  8.0.  generally  high   or   low  PH  result   to  complete  loss  of  activities  of  most  enzymes.

EleoNora [17]

The term "IMViC" is an acronym for each of these tests. "I" is for indole test; "M" is for methyl red test; "V" is for Voges-Proskauer test, and "C" is for citrate test. The lower case "i" is merely for "in" as the Citrate test requires coliform samples to be placed "in Citrate". Triple sugar iron test (TSI), Urease Test and Malonate Test are also included in this test.

For each of the tests, different reagents are added  to the species are inoculated and tested.

For Salmonella sp. the IMViC Test result is:

Indole - negative

Methyl red - Positive

Voges-Proskauer - negative

Citrate - positive
