Answer:

Filtration can be used to separate sand and water.

Explanation:

Insoluble solids can be separated from liquid through filtration. Sand is "insoluble in water". So it can separated through filtration. When sand is mixed with water it either floats or sinks down in the container. Now we can use filter paper or any filtering materials to separate sand from water. The mixture of water and sand can be poured through the filtering material. The filtering material allow all liquid to pass through the pores in it and sand remains behind in the filter paper.

Reacting molecules or ions in a solution at room temperature are in constant motion and collide. some collisions lead to a forma
Lynna [10]

A chemical reaction occurs only when the collision between the reacting molecules takes place. However, not all the collisions are efficient in making the reaction. The products are produced only when the molecules colliding exhibits a certain kind of minimum energy known as threshold energy.

The threshold energy refers to the least amount of energy needed for the reactants to collide effectively, and to produce the activated complex. It is kinetic energy in supplementation with the energy of activation. Hence, threshold energy is more in comparison to the activation energy.
