Reacting molecules or ions in a solution at room temperature are in constant motion and collide. some collisions lead to a forma

tion of product and some do not. what determines whether a reaction will take place?

Explanation:

When three or more particles collide with each other then there are less chances that all of them collide with correct energy and orientation.

So, it is very important for the occurrence of a chemical reaction that its particles or molecules which are taking place in the reaction should have a sufficient amount of energy.

Also, these particles must collide with proper orientation so that they combine at the correct location to result in the formation of product(s).

Thus, we can conclude that energy and proper orientation determines whether a reaction will take place.

A chemical reaction occurs only when the collision between the reacting molecules takes place. However, not all the collisions are efficient in making the reaction. The products are produced only when the molecules colliding exhibits a certain kind of minimum energy known as threshold energy.

The threshold energy refers to the least amount of energy needed for the reactants to collide effectively, and to produce the activated complex. It is kinetic energy in supplementation with the energy of activation. Hence, threshold energy is more in comparison to the activation energy.

sugar taken in a boiling tube is strongly heated. a) write the procedure of this experiment . b) which are the products obtained
Tpy6a [65]

Answer:

chemical changes

Explanation:

A chemical change is one in which a new kind of matter is formed. It is always accompanied by energy changes. The process is not easily reversible and hence, it is a permanent procedure.

Burning of charcoal produces a new kind of produces in the combustion process.

Both heating of copper(ii)carbonate strongly and zinc oxide will lead to a decomposition reaction in which new compounds are formed.

Which of these household items is powered by alternating current?
AlladinOne [14]

Answer:

C. Hair dryer

Explanation:

Alternating Current

The other kind of electricity is called alternating current, or AC. Power plants produce this

type of electricity. It is carried by large power lines from the plant to your home. When you

plug a TV, a lamp, or a hair dryer into the wall socket, you are using this type of electricity.

How many molecules are in 41.8 g of sulfuric acid
Anton [14]

Answer

× 10²³ molecules are in 41.8 g of sulfuric acid

Explanation

The first step is to convert 41.8 g of sulfuric acid to moles by dividing the mass of sulfuric acid by its molar mass.

Molar mass of sulfuric acid, H₂SO₄ = 98.079 g/mol

Mole=\frac{Mass}{Molar\text{ }mass}=\frac{41.8\text{ }g}{98.079\text{ }g\text{/}mol}=0.426187053\text{ }mol

Finally, convert the moles of sulfuric acid to molecules using Avogadro's number.

Conversion factor: 1 mole of any substance = 6.022 × 10²³ molecules.

Therefore, 0.426187053 moles of sulfuric acid is equal

\frac{0.426187053\text{ }mol}{1\text{ }mol}\times6.022×10²³\text{ }molecules=2.57\times10^{23}\text{ }molecules

Thus, 2.57 × 10²³ molecules are in 41.8 g of sulfuric acid.
