timama [110]

Answer:

the number of families needed for the survey is 2,157

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation of the number of families needed for the survey is shown below:

Given that

The Standard deviation is $900

Service level = 99%

z value at 99% = 2.58

Expenditures = $50

Based on the above information

The number of families needed for the survey is

n = (\frac{zs}{E})^2\\\\=  (\frac{2.58\times 900}{50})^2

= 2,157

Hence, the number of families needed for the survey is 2,157

Bogdan [553]

Frogs are at the pond = 12.

Given,

There are some frogs and some lily pads at a pond. If lily pads with frogs on them have two frogs each, then there are 3 lily pads with no frogs on them. If each lily pad has exactly one frog on it, then there are 3 frogs with no lily pad.

= 2( n-3) = n+3

= 2n -6 = n+3

=> n = 9

9 pads, 12 frogs.

Hence, Frogs are at the pond = 12.
