A 0.37 kg object is attached to a spring with a spring constant 175 N/m so that the object is allowed to move on a horizontal fr

ictionless surface. The object is released from rest when the spring is compressed 0.19 m. Find the force on the object when it is released. Answer in units of N. What is the acceleration at this instant? Answer in units of m/s^2.

Answer:

F=33.25\ N

a=89.8649\ m.s^{-2}

Explanation:

Given:

 • mass of the object, m=0.37\ kg
 • spring constant, k =175\ N.m^{-1}
 • compression in the spring, \Delta x=0.19\ m

Now the force on the spring on releasing the compression:

F=k. \Delta x

F=175\times 0.19

F=33.25\ N

Now the acceleration due to this force:

a=\frac{F}{m}

a=\frac{33.25}{0.37}

a=89.8649\ m.s^{-2}

Suppose you exert a 25-N force to lift a ball 0.4 m in 2 s. How much work is done?
Sergio [31]

work is force x distance = 25 x 0.4

= 2.5x4 = 10joules

pwer would be 10j/2s watts .... 5 watts

A radio station's channel, such as 100.7 fm or 92.3 fm, is actually its frequency in megahertz (mhz), where 1mhz=106hz. calculat
lakkis [162]
When it comes to wave behavior, there are parameters called wavelength and frequency. These two are related by speed of the radiowave. Radiowaves are electromagnetic waves which travels as fast as light. The wavelength is the distance while frequency is the reciprocal of time. When you multiply them both, you get the electromagnetic wave's speed. The equation is c = wavelength*frequency, where c is the speed of light equal to 3 x 10^8 m/s.

3 x10^8 m/s = wavelength/104.9 x 10^6 Hz (Hertz is 1/s)
wavelength = 2.86 meters

A radioactive decay is illustrated. Which radioactive emission is a product of this decay?
hram777 [196]

The radioactive decay is shown in the image attached to this answer

Answer:

Alpha

Explanation:

An alpha decay is said to have occurred when the mass number of the daughter nucleus decreases by four units and the atomic number of the daughter nucleus decreases by two units.

If we look at the equation from left to right, we will notice that the mass number of the daughter nucleus decreased by four units and the atomic of the daughter nucleus number by two units compared to that of the parent nucleus leading to the emission of an alpha particle.

if you were in a car that drove off the edge of a cliff, why would you be momentarily weightless? would gravity still be acting
Andrews [41]

Answer: Gravity will be on you since you are falling. For instance if you where skydiving you are free falling which will be similar to the car. Therefore gravity does play a role because whatever goes up must come down.
