Answer:

The dangers she might face are rapid blood loss, heart attack, stroke, and death. She might be treated by applying pressure on the injury.

Explanation:

In arterial bleeding, the arteries carry oxygenated blood away from the heart; so when bleeding it's in rapid spurts. The pressure inside the artery doesn't help, so there's rapid blood loss. This causes the oxygen supply in the body to decrease drastically. It can lead to stroke, heart attack, and death.

To prevent this, she might be treated by applying direct pressure on the wound using a clean, thick dressing to prevent more bleeding. Hold it in place and don't lift it to see if there's bleeding.

A biologist wishes to feed laboratory rabbits a mixture of two types of foods. Type 1 contains 8g of fat, 12g of carbs, and 2g o
Kazeer [188]

Answer:

we have minimize cost by feeding the rabbits 3 ounces  of feed 1 and 0 ounces of feed 2.

Explanation:

let x be the ounces of feed 1

let y be the ounces of feed 2

according to the information we have following inequalities

Fat grams:8x + 12y \geq 24

Carb grams: 12x + 12y \geq 36

                      x + y \leq 3

Protein grams: 2x + y \geq 4

Total food: x + y \leq 5

for cost we have

C = 0.20x + 0.30y

Thus, we have the limitation of:

5 \geq x + y \geq 3

plotting all inequalities we have found pentagon with following points

(0,5)

C = 0.20(0) + 0.30(5) = 1.50

(0,4)

C = 0.20(0) + 0.30(4) = 1.20

(1,2)

C = 0.20(1) + 0.30(2) = 0.80

(3,0)

C = 0.20(3) + 0.30(0) = 0.60

(5,0)

C = 0.20(5) + 0.30(0) = 1.00

Thus, we have minimize cost by feeding the rabbits 3 ounces  of feed 1 and 0 ounces of feed 2.
