At one time, Chondrichthyes were thought to have split off from other vertebrates before the evolution of bone. Now we have conc

luded that the Chondrichthyes split off after the evolution of bone had started. This change demonstrates ________. A. as new evidence emerges, scientists revise their hypotheses B. scientists develop hypotheses and only accept data that confirm their hypotheses C. revisions of hypotheses take many years D. scientists accept the simplest hypotheses

Answer:

Option-A

Explanation:

Chondricythes is a group of fish which can be characterized by its jawbones, presence of cartilage, and paired fins.

The natural events and phenomenon can be explained by a scientific method which begins with asking a question, background research and then predicting a statement which explains the natural event called a hypothesis. A hypothesis must be supported by the evidence.

In the given question, the hypothesis explaining the evolution of the Chondricythes changed with time which shows that the hypothesis can be revised with the advancement in technology and the production of new evidence which could either favour or do not favour.

Thus, Option-A is correct.

Which one of the following statements presents a condition of the Hardy-Weinberg principle? A. Gene flow is present. B. Genetic
Nitella [24]
The statement in the given question that presents a condition of the Hardy-Weinberg principle is that random mating occurs. The correct option among all the options given in the question is option "C". There are definitely certain conditions under which the Hardy- Weinberg principle occurs and they are when there is no gene flow, no mutations happen, no generic drift occurs and random mating occurs. This principle also states a very important aspect and it is that genotype and allele frequencies will always remain constant from one generation to another if there is absence of other evolutionary inflrnce.

HELP!!!! Restriction maps illustrate the lengths of DNA fragments between restriction sites. Which of the following information
balandron [24]
The wording of this is confusing. I think it’s A and B and I’m hesitant say that it’s also C but only if you know the mutation and the gene.

Also for A you would only know a partial sequence of the gene.

How would the extra chromosome affect the male offspring produced by the gamete?.
monitta

An extra chromosome will produce an aneuploidy. It may have severe consequences on the resulting zygote.

Aneuploidies and chromosome abnormalities

The term 'chromosome abnormalities' refers to different types of problems that occur in meiosis which are associated with the disjunction of chromosomes.

The most common chromosomal abnormality is called aneuploidy, which means an abnormal number of chromosomes.

Aneuploidy is caused by the presence of an extra or due to the lack (missing) of a chromosome during meiosis.

For example, a trisomy is an aneuploidy due to the presence of an extra chromosome (three copies of the same chromosome instead of two).
