Answer:

a) 50.24 ft²

b) 150.72 ft²

Step-by-step explanation:

Jason is painting a large circle on one wall of his new apartment. The largest distance across the circle will be 8 feet.

The distance across a circle is also called a diameter, Hence,

D = Diameter = 8 ft

The Area of a circle = πr²

r = Diameter/2 = 8ft/2 = 4ft

π = 3.14

Hence,

The Area of the circle = π × (4 ft)²

= 50.24 ft²

a) Approximately the amount of wall the circle will cover is 50.24 ft².

b) How much area will he cover if he painted a circle on three walls?

This is calculated as:

1 wall = 50.24 ft²

3 walls = x

Cross Multiply

x = 3 × 50.24 ft²

x = 150.72 ft²

PLEASE HELP DUE TOMORROW 1. An artist is selling children’s crafts. Necklaces cost 2.25 each and bracelets cost 1.50 per each. a
Tems11 [23]

Answer:

Kindly check explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

Cost per bracelet = 1.50

Cost per necklace = 2.25

Let :

number of necklace = n

Number of bracelet = b

Cost equation C ;

C = 1.5b + 2.25n

Number of necklace that could be sold for exactly $12

5 necklaces and 1 bracelet :

1.5 + 2.25(5) = 12.75

•2 necklaces and 5 bracelets:

1.5(5) + 2.25(2) = 12

• 3 necklaces and 3 bracelets

1.5(3) + 2.25(3) = 11.25

• 4 necklaces and 2 bracelets

1.5(2) + 2.25(4) = 12

• 3 necklaces and 5 bracelets

1.5(5) + 2.25(3) = 14.25

• 6 necklaces and no bracelets •

1.5(0) + 2.25(6) = 13.5

No necklaces and 8 bracelets

1.5(8) + 2.25(0) = 12

Amount charged per Tshirt = c

Setup fee = $40

Number of students in drama club = 21

Total cost of order = $187

Calculate C ;

Total order cost = set up fee + (cost per shirt * number of shirts)

Total order cost = 40 + 21c

187 = 40 + 21c

187 - 40 = 21c

147 = 21c

c = 147 / 21

C = 7

Hence cost per shirt = $7

At the newest animated movie, for every 9 children, there are 4 adults. There are a total of 39 children and adults at the movie
WARRIOR [948]
For every 9 children, there are 4 adults.
If there are 39 children and adults, we can work backwards to find the answer.

Lets start by multiplying 9. Lets do 3. 9 x 3 = 27.
Ok, now we have an estimate of 27 Children, now all we have to do is multiply the number of adults by 3.
Now we can multiply 4 x 3. 4 x 3 = 12. Now we have the number of children and adults.
Now lets add these together. 12 + 27 = 39! Perfect! Now we know that there are 27 children, and 12 adults.

Hope this helps!!
