15. What were Herbert Hoover's attitude/actions toward the Great
pshichka [43]

Herbert Hoover had a very relaxed attitude towards the great depression. He believed that it would go away with time. He also thought that instead of government programs to help people, such as welfare, charities and churches should be taking care of people, not the government. Essentially he didn't think the government should be handling it. Over time, it became obvious that charities and churches could not help the millions of people in need that were starving and homeless. He enacted a few government programs but by then it was too late. The depression had lasted far too long, and people were done with him. He lost his reelection to Franklin Roosevelt.

How did the Great Society lead to greater protection for consumers?
Taya2010 [7]

D. Through the passage of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act

Explanation:

The Great Society were programs started by Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964 and ending in 1965. The goal of the Great Society was to end prejudice among race, poverty among the American people, along with safety and the best outcomes for American citizens.

The National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act was officially brought together in 1966 and gave the federal government the correct powers to enforce laws having to do with motor vehicles. This mostly had to do with how the vehicles were made or put together and enforced the making of motor vehicles in a safe and correct manor.
