Electricity used in 40 minutes = 800 watts

So, electricity used in 1 minute

= 800watts/40

= 20 watts

Electricity used in 3 hours

= electricity used in 180 minutes

= electricity used in 1 minute × 180

= 20 watts × 180

= 3600 watts

The zero-product principle states that if AB = 0, then
s2008m [1.1K]

A = 0 (or) B = 0

Solution:

The zero product principle is most probably used to solve a quadratic equation by factoring the factors.

Let us know the definition of zero product principle.

Zero product principle:

The zero product principle states that if the product of two factors is zero then  at least one of the factors must be zero.

This means that if AB = 0, then A = 0 (or) B = 0.

Hence, The zero-product principle states that

if AB = 0, then A = 0 (or) B = 0.

25 pts What is the rule for a reflection across the origin followed by a translation 9 units to the left and 7 units down?
BartSMP [9]

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

1. A reflection across the origin has a rule

(x,y)\rightarrow (-x,-y).

2. A translation 9 units to the left and 7 units down has a rule

(x,y)\rightarrow (x-9,y-7).

Then the rule for a reflection across the origin followed by a translation 9 units to the left and 7 units down is

(x,y)\rightarrow (-x-9,-y-7).

This means that the point with coordinates (x,y) has the image with coordinates (x',y')=(-x-9,-y-7).

If you shift the quadratic parent function, f(x) = x^2, right 10 units, what is the equation of the new function?
jenyasd209 [6]

If you shift function f(x) a units right you'll get f(x-a) function.

So if you have f(x) = x², you'll get f(x-10) = (x-10)² - answer B

other formulas:

a units left: f(x+a)

a units up: f(x)+a

a units down: f(x)-a
