Solve for the variable

-8g-13=43 add 13 to both sides

-8g=56 divide both sides by -8

g=-7

84-x=27 subtract 84 from both sides

-x=-57 multiply both sides by -1

x=57

In training to run a half marathon, Jenny ran 2/5 hours on Tuesday, 11/6 hours on
maria [59]

Answer:

Total hours that Jenny ran = 3.63 hours.

Step-by-step explanation:

Jenny ran on Tuesday for = 2/5 hours or 0.4 hours.

Time consumed to run on Thursday = 11/6 hours or 1.83 hours.

Time consumed to run on Saturday = 21/ 15 hours or 1.4 hours.

Here, the total hours can be calculated by just adding all the running hours. So the running hours of Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday will be added to find the total hours.

Total hours that Jenny ran = 0.4 + 1.83 + 1.4 = 3.63 hours.

PLEASE HELP ASAP!!! CORRECT ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!!!

Which graph represents the function?
quester [9]

Answer: A

Step-by-step explanation:

The vertical asymptote is the restriction on the x-value. Since the denominator cannot be equal to zero, then x + 1 ≠ 0 → x ≠ -1. So, the vertical asymptote is: x = -1

The horizontal asymptote is the restriction on the y-value. Since the degree of the numerator is less than the degree of the denominator, the horizontal asymptote is y = 0. However, there is a vertical shift of 2 units up so the horizontal asymptote is: y = 2

The only graph that displays these asymptotes is the first graph, which I call graph A.

What is the area of the shaded region to the nearest tenth?
Aleks04 [339]

Answer:

15.1

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that the area of the circle is \pi r^{2}, but we are looking for the portion of the circle, this means we multiply it by the portion of the circle that is shaded.

Area of shaded region = \pi r^{2} (\frac{x}{360} )

where r = 4 and x = 108, the 360 comes from the fact that the total degrees around the circle is 360, so dividing the total amount of degrees by the angle will give us the portion we are looking for.

Area of shaded region = \frac{108}{360} \pi 4^{2} = 15.1

Another way to think about it is that the area of the total circle is \pi r^{2}, multiplying it by a fraction, a number less than 1, would give us a smaller value.

Hope this helps.
