A monarchy is a society with the King/ Emperor/ Grand duke, etc at the head of state. Most monarchies are known for their autocratic rule and usually no elections, but there are such things as Constitutional-monarchies. Britain, Japan, Spain, etc are constitutional monarchies. How does capitalism come into play? Well, Capitalism is economics, a government doesn't have to necessarily be democratic to be capitalist. Capitalism is an economy based off on privately-owned industries. Japan is a capitalist country but they are also a constitutional-monarchy.
