Two charged bees land simultaneously on flowers that are separated by a finite distance. For a few moments, the charged bees res

t on the flowers. The charged bees both generate an electric field, and while the charged bees are resting on the flowers, the net electric field at some distance between them is zero.
Required:

Answer:

the charge of the bees must be of the same sign

Explanation:

The electric field is given by the relation

            E = k q / r²

This electric field has outgoing direction if the charge is positive and incoming towards the charge if it is negative.

The force generated by this field on a test charge is

            F = q E

Since the charge is a scalar, the direction of the force is the same as the electric field.

In this case the two flowers are at a certain distance and the two charged bees land on them, so the force on a test charge is the vector sum of the force that each bee creates, so that this force is subtracted from the two bees must have the same charge sign.

The force created by the bee on the left goes to the right and the force created by the bee on the right goes to the left, so the forces are subtracted,

Consequently the charge of the bees must be of the same sign

An electronics technician wishes to construct a parallelplate capacitor using rutile (k=100) as the dielectric. The area of the
My name is Ann [436]

Given k=100, Area if plate A = 1.00 cm2

    = 1 x (10-2)2 m^{2}

Thickness of rutile ds = t = 1.00 mm

      = 1 x 10-3 cm

Without any dielectric medium capacitance of a parallel plate capacitor is c = oAd

When a dielectric is placed between capacitors plates then capacitance c1 = KoAd

Here d = t = 1 x 10-1 cm, o = 8.854 x 10-12 c^{2} m^{-2}  N

Now c1 = 100 X 8.859 X 10^{-12}  X 1 X (10-2)^{21}  X 10^{-2}

= 8.859 X 10-1910-3= 8.85 X 10-11 F= 8.85 X 10-12 F

 C1  = 88.5 X 10-12 F

 C1  = 88.5  PF

Correct Option: A

What purposes serve parallel plate capacitors?

The following are some uses for parallel plate capacitors:

  • This kind of capacitor is utilized in rechargeable energy systems such as batteries.
  • These capacitors are used in systems for dynamic digital memory.
  • Such capacitors are used in pulsed laser and radar circuits.

1.33 m^3 of fluid flows out of a pipe in 24.5 s. the fluid leaves the pipe at 3.55 m/s. what is the area of the pipe. (unit=m^2)
Margaret [11]

Answer:

0.015meter^{2}

Explanation:

Total volume of water coming out = 1.33meter^{3}

Also volume = Cross sectional area*Length covered

Length covered = Velocity *time

                           =24.5*3.55

                           =86.97 meter

Let the cross sectional area be A.

1.33 = 86.97*A

A =0.015meter^{2}
