It will take them 6.45 days to hike 71 miles taking 11 miles on a day.

We know this because you just take 11 and divide it by 71. It gives you 6.454545454545455 but since it’s s repeating number we just leave it at 6.45!

Hope that helps!

Consider the equation 0.75⋅10^w/3=30
Nastasia [14]

Answer:

The value of w is:

w=3\cdot log_{10}(40)

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to calculate w from the equation

0.75\cdot 10^{w/3}=30

The solution has to be expressed as a logarithm in base 10.

We can solve it like:

0.75\cdot10^{w/3}=30\\\\10^{w/3}=30/0.75=40\\\\(w/3)log_{10}(10)=log_{10}(40)\\\\w/3=log_{10}(40)\\\\w=3\cdot log_{10}(40)

The value of w is:

w=3\cdot log_{10}(40)

Disregarding wind resistance the distance a body falls from rest varies directly as th squares of the time it falls if a skydive
Firdavs [7]

Answer:

The skydiver will fall 1600 ft in 10 seconds.

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Distance a body falls from rest varies directly as the squares of the time it falls </u>

Let distance = s

      time = t

Therefore , s = k \times t^{2}

Given, the body falls 64 ft in 2 seconds.

Substituting in above equation,

64 = k \times (2)^{2}

64 = k \times (4)

 k  = \frac{64}{4}

 k = 16 ft/s^{2}

We have to find how much he will fall in 10 seconds.

s = k \times t^{2}

s = 16 \times 10^{2}

s = 16 \times 100

s = 1600 ft

Bill weighs 150 lbs. He wants to gain 2 lbs per week for football season. Jamal runs track. He wants to lose weight so he can ru
mars1129 [50]

The <u><em>correct answer</em></u> is:

15 weeks

Explanation:

Let w be the number of weeks.  Bill weighs 150 pounds and wants to gain 2 lbs per week; this gives us the expression 150+2w for Bill.

Jamal weighs 195 and wants to lose 1 pound per week; this gives us the expression 195-1w for Jamal.

To determine how many weeks it will take them to weigh the same, we set the two expressions equal:

150+2w=195-1w

Add 1w to each side:

150+2w+1w = 195-1w+1w

150+3w = 195

Subtract 150 from each side:

150+3w-150 = 195-150

3w = 45

Divide each side by 3:

3w/3 = 45/3

w = 15

Answer:

\frac{\pi }{3},\:\frac{2\pi }{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Let a=THETA (angle)

1+\sin \left(a\right)-1=\frac{\sqrt{3}+2}{2}-1\\\sin \left(a\right)=\frac{\sqrt{3}+2}{2}-1\\a=\arcsin \left(\frac{\sqrt{3}+2}{2}-1\right)+2\pi n,\:a=\pi -\arcsin \left(\frac{\sqrt{3}+2}{2}-1\right)+2\pi n\\a=\frac{\pi }{3},\:a=\frac{2\pi }{3}
