First, any adult male citizen over the age of 20 could take part, and it was a duty to do so. Also the place took in large part chosen by lottery in a process called sortition.

Athens was ancient, and they took place where the sun was hitting them, and different languages. In the meanwhile, our society takes place in a building where the cool temperature is hitting you and well-spoken language.

The similarities between Athens and our society "democratic" are; Debates, well-dressed clothing, arguing things for our safety and our environment.
