You can just subtract 6% from 30% to get the correct percentage decrease because a sales tax is added to the price.

30%-6%= 24%

Convert that to a decimal.

24%= .24

50*.24= 12

50-12= 38

g A sailing ship stopped at several islands, releasing one mating pair of goats onto each one. On the large island, the goats' g
PSYCHO15rus [73]

Answer:

The goat population reaches 1000 in 12.4 years

Step-by-step explanation:

After t years, the number of goats is given by

N = N_0e^{bt}

where N_0 is the initial number of goats and b is the per capita growth rate.

From the question,

 • N_0 = 2
 • b = 0.5
 • N = 1000

1000 = 2e^{0.5t}

e^{0.5t} = 500

0.5t = \ln 500 = 6.214

t = \dfrac{6.2}{0.5} = 12.4

A 100mL cup of very sweet tea consists of 90% water and 10% sugar. 20% of the tea is poured out. Then, 80mL of water are added.
nasty-shy [4]

Answer:

this probably wont help but

Step-by-step explanation:

the tea in the large pitcher will be sweeter than the tea in the small pitcher.

There are many ways to draw diagrams of this situation, and many ways to reason about any given diagram. The key is to compare some like quantity between the two pitchers. In this example, we compare the amount of sugar in 2 cups of tea for each pitcher.

In the small pitcher (the top diagram), you can see in the diagram that for every 2 cups of tea, there is 1 teaspoon of sugar. But in the large pitcher (the bottom diagram), you can see that for every 2 cups of tea, there is more than 1 teaspoon of sugar.

The sum or product of a non-zero rational number and an irrational number is always
Anarel [89]

Answer:

Irrational

Step-by-step explanation:

A rational number and an irrational number when added will given another irrational number only.

Example consider a rational number 2 and an irrational number √3.

When we add these two we get

2+√3. an irrational number only

There is no chance of getting a rational number when a non zero rational and irrational is added. In other words, there is nothing to cancel the irrational part when another rational number is added.

Hence the result would be irrational

Thus answer is irrational.
