Nitella [24]

The statement that best describes the change in Neto since the beginning of the story is:

 • Neto realizes that there is no way of preventing the fans from making racist comments.

What is Racism?

Racism is discrimination on the basis of race. Prior to that time, Neto was a positive person who believed that there will be a change to the racism he experience in the school club.

In the excerpt above, it appears that Neto has lost hope in changing the status quo and that was why he walked out despite the coach's admonition.

To me, freedom means to be able to have the power to think freely, speak, and have the right to have thoughts about things other people may disagree to and no one can say anything about it because it matters to what only YOU think. Other people can say what ever they can to get an agreement out of people, to start a movement. Take Rosa Parks as an example. She didn't have the right to sit in the white persons side of the bus. With her knowing she didn't have the right, she stood up for herself and the others and with that she started a movement to free the blacks and stop racism against different races. With that voice of her's she created something big that would become history.

Freedom:)
