Answer:

my answers are liberal veiws, but i hope this can help.

Explanation:

1) I personally believe that it should be protected under the first amendment as free speech. My reasoning is that when people do burn the flag it is out of representation for needed change in the government/society. When the flag is burned most people don't do it because they hate America, it happens at (some) protests when the people feel that they aren't being heard by the government. It's supposed to be a statement, something that will get people's attention. This is all a part of freedom of speech, they are trying to be heard. Though I do understand why some people don't like the burning of the flag, if you don't like it then you don't have to, and that is your right as an American.

2)No, I don't think that an amendment to prohibit burning the flag would make it very far in the ratification process. I think this because in the past people have tried to make it a law for burning the flag to be illegal and it was not adopted. It failed because it was against our rights under the first amendment as Americans.

(sorry i couldnt think of anything for 3 but i hope this helps)

Which of these may not be protected under the attorney-client privilege?
Makovka662 [10]
People often look at attorney-client privilege in the criminal arena and presume that, because it could allow a guilty criminal to go free, then it doesn't make any sense. Honestly, however, that's a very small percentage of situations wherein the privilege is ever even used. First, over 90% of criminal matters are settled with a plea bargain -- so there's only 10% of any criminal matter in which the privilege could even affect the outcome. Of that 10%, most attorneys who defend criminals don't want to know whether their client is guilty or innocent, they just want the defendant to tell them their story as they see it happened. On the very rare occurrence when an admission happens, the lawyers hands become tied in several important ways -- not the least of which (at least in WA state) is that they cannot suborn perjury and if they know their client has lied on the stand, they must request that the court relieve them of continuing to represent the client.
