Answer:

All of the above.

Explanation:

For a scientific hypothesis to be considered a hypothesis, it has to be testable. When conducting a lab experiment, it also allows the tester to predict what might occur during and after the experimentation. They are also explanatory. For example, theories are hypotheses that have been verified and can explain why something in nature takes place.

How do I find the rate of reaction on a graph
Nonamiya [84]

Rate of reaction can be understood as the rate of change of the materials, such as the rate of depletion of the reactants or the rate of production of products. Therefore, if a graph of concentration and time is plotted, the rate of reaction is simply the slope of the graph.

Explain the trend in boiling points as you move down group v11
frosja888 [35]

Answer:

Fluorine

Chlorine

Bromine

Iodine

Boiling point increases as you go down the group v11

Explanation:

The elements of Group VII are the halogens consisting of f fluorine (F), chlorine (Cl), bromine (Br), iodine (I). All of which are non metals and exists as diatomic molecules - F2, Cl2, Br2, I2 with intermolecular attractions between the two molecules of each element held by Van der Waals dispersion force.

Moving down the group, the size of the atoms increases in size from Fluorine, F2 and Chlorine, Cl2 which are gases to Bromine , Br2 which exists as a liquid to solid, Iodine, I2. This attributes to the increasing in Strength of the Van der Waals forces as you go down the group. In order to break the vanderwaals forces , More heat energy is required to change thier states leading to the increase in boiling point going down the group.

1. A mixture of salt and iron filings has a mass of 4.5g. A student determined that the iron
Readme [11.4K]

Answer:

The answer to your question is: 66.7 % of Iron filings

Explanation:

Data

Mixture salt - iron filigs = 4.5 g

Iron filings mass = 3.0 g

Formula

Percent composition = (mass of solute/mass of solvent) x 100

Percent composition = (3.0 / 4.5 g) x 100

Percent composition = 66.7%

Consider this question: What mass of concentrated solution nitric acid( 68.0% HNO3 by mass) is needed to prepare 400.0 g of a 10
Elena L [17]

Answer: The mass of concentrated nitric acid solution required is 58.82 g

Explanation:

To calculate the mass of concentrated solution, we use the equation:

c_1m_1=c_2m_2

where,

c_1\text{ and }m_1 are the concentration and mass of concentrated solution.

c_2\text{ and }m_2 are the concentration and mass of diluted solution.

We are given:

c_1=68\%\\m_1=?g\\c_2=10\%\\m_2=400g

Putting values in above equation, we get:

68\times m_1=10\times 400\\\\m_1=58.82g

Hence, the mass of concentrated nitric acid solution required is 58.82 g
