Answer:The period of US history from the 1890s to the 1920s is usually referred to as the Progressive Era, an era of intense social and political reform aimed at making progress toward a better society.

Progressive Era reformers sought to harness the power of the federal government to eliminate unethical and unfair business practices, reduce corruption, and counteract the negative social effects of industrialization.

During the Progressive Era, protections for workers and consumers were strengthened, and women finally achieved the right to vote.

You are on a divided highway with a raised median when you see a school bus stopped on the other side of the road. Are you legal
lidiya [134]

The correct answer is NO.

In this situation, I would NOT be required to stop because the oncoming traffic is separated by the raised median. However, if we had a school bus in the opposite lane but no raised median, it would be okay for us to go on only once the red light was off and the bus moved again.

san4es73 [151]

Answer:

The answer is: calcite

Explanation:

Caliche is a natural hardened cement, which is composed of calcium carbonate. It is a layer of soil which binds the other soil materials like sand, gravel, silt and clay together.

Caliche is naturally formed in desert soil after rainstorms. During precipitation, the calcium dissolved in rain water is added to the desert soil, which then combines with the dissolved carbon dioxide in the soil water to form insoluble calcium carbonate, known as calcite.

Describe some of the key attributes of charismatic and transformational leaders. How are the two leadership styles similar and h
Anna71 [15]

Answer: Charismatic leaders are self confident and charming .

Transformational leaders use ideas to gain support .

Explanation:

Charismatic leaders are interesting people to whom people are naturally drawn. They use this skill to lead people, knowing that they give off a sense of self confidence that inspires the confidence of others. In contrast, transformational leaders find a shared value or idea and use that to gain the support of their followers.

The two styles are similar in the sense that they both gain the support of followers, and are effective methods of leadership.

The difference between the two styles is the driving force, while charismatic leadership is built around the leader, transformational leadership is around an idea, and it usually involves the input of the other members of the team, not just the leader.

Why were southern delegates to the Constitutional Convention willing to accept the Three-Fifths Compromise? * PLEASE HELP * i ha
mariarad [96]

The southern delegates to the Constitutional Convention were willing to accept the Three-Fifths Compromise because it increased the political influence of the South.

What is the Three-fifths compromise?

By the Three-fifths compromise, the Northern and Southern state's delegates at the United States Constitutional Convention of 1787 agreed that three-fifth of the population of slaves would be counted in determining representation and number of seats in the Congress.

It also would determine how much each state would pay in taxes.

The three-fifths compromise allowed Southern states more Representatives and more presidential electoral votes than if slaves had not been counted although slaves had no voting rights.

Therefore, the Three-fifths compromise increased the political influence of the South by granting them more representation and electoral power.
