Phytagoras formulas is another method to solve right-angled triangle problem-related.

The formula is given by c^{2}= a^{2} + b^{2} where c is the hypotenuse of the triangle.

We use Pythagoras formula when we know at least the length of two sides of right angle triangle and we are looking for the length of the third side.

We use trigonometry ratio when we know the length of one side of a right-angled triangle and the size of one acute angle. We can either find the length sides or an angle using trigonometry ratio.

Select all the correct answers.
Vlad1618 [11]

Answer:

  • The measure of reference angle is 30^{\circ}.
  • \cos \theta=\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Converting \theta to degrees,

\theta=\left(\frac{11\pi}{6} \right) \left(\frac{180}{\pi} \right)=330^{\circ}

This means \theta lies in Quadrant 4, and thus its reference angle is 360^{\circ}-330^{\circ}=\boxed{30^{\circ}}

Since \theta lies in the fourth quadrant, \sin \theta and \tan \theta are negative.

Since \theta lies in the fourth quadrant, \cos \theta is positive, and is equal to \cos (30^{\circ})=\boxed{\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}}

A bag contains 6 white marbles, 5 red
Artist 52 [7]

Answer:

1/30

Step-by-step explanation:

      6 white marbles

      5 red marbles

+    19 marbles of other colors

-----------------------------------------------

     30 marbles in total

First drawing:

p(white) = (number of white marbles)/(total number of marbles)

p(white) = 6/30 = 1/5

Second drawing:

Since the first marble is replaced, there are still 30 marbles in the bag.

p(red) = (number of red marbles)/(total number of marbles)

p(red) = 5/30 = 1/6

The two drawings are independent events, so the overall probability of the two events is the product of the individual probabilities.

p(white then red) = p(white) × p(red)

p(white then red) = 1/5 × 1/6

p(white then red) = 1/30
