Given :

sec^2\ x + 2sec\ x = 0

To Find :

All real value solution of given equation.

Solution :

Simplifying given equation, we get :

sec x( sec x + 2 ) = 0

sec x = 0  and (sec x + 2) = 0

For, sec x = 0 :

x = not defined.

For, (sec x + 2) = 0 :

cos x = -1/2

x = cos⁻¹( -1/2 ) = 2π/3

Therefore, general solution is ( 2nπ ± 2π/3 ), n ∈ Z⁺ .

An insurance adjuster processes the claims of six policy holders in an eight hour work day. The adjuster uses $5 in gasoline and
Bad White [126]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

Labor productivity is is measured per hours.

Hence, the work he does [amount of claims] will be distributed amongst the amount of hours he works. The amount of dollar he uses <em>doesn't matter for labor productivity.</em>

<em />

Thus, his work is 6 claims. He does that is 8 hours. So claim/hr is:

6/8 = 0.75 claims per hour

Answer choice D is right.

Find the average rate of change for the function f(x)=3x^2 on the interval [-3,3]
Ierofanga [76]

The formula for average rate of change is given by:

\frac{f(x_{2})-f(x_{1})}{x_{2}-x_{1}}    \\ Plugging x2 as 3 and x1 as -3\\

\frac{f(3)-f(-3)}{3-(-3)}

=(27-27)/6

=0/0

=0

Answer: average rate of change is 0

You have determined the critical path in a CPM analysis. You would like to determine the probability of completing the project i
xxMikexx [17]

Answer:

The variance estimate of this activity is 4.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given information: One of the activities on the critical path has

Optimistic time = 5 minutes

Most likely time = 6 minutes

Pessimistic time = 17 minutes

The variance estimate of a activity is

\sigma ^2=(\frac{t_p-t_o}{6})^2

where, t_p is pessimistic time of that activity and  t_o is optimistic time of that activity.

The variance estimate of the given activity is

\sigma ^2=(\frac{17-5}{6})^2

\sigma ^2=(\frac{12}{6})^2

\sigma ^2=2^2

\sigma ^2=4

Therefore the variance estimate of this activity is 4.
