2. Correlation basics Which of the following statements about correlation are true? Check all that apply. If the correlation bet
cluponka [151]

Answer:

The correct statements are: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Step-by-step explanation:

A correlation coefficient is a mathematical measure of certain kind of correlation, in sense a statistical relationship amid two variables.

It is a statistical degree that computes the strength of the linear relationship amid the relative movements of the two variables (i.e. dependent and independent). It ranges from -1 to +1.

Positive correlation is an association amid two variables in which both variables change in the same direction.

A positive correlation occurs when one variable declines as the other variable declines, or one variable escalates while the other escalates.

Negative correlation is a relationship amid two variables in which one variable rises as the other falls, and vice versa.

If there is any alteration in the value of one variable, the value of the other variable is altered in a fixed proportion. The correlation amid them is known as perfect correlation.

In statistics, a perfect positive correlation is represented by +1 and -1 indicates a perfect negative correlation.

The correlation coefficient is scaleless. This implies that the value of the correlation coefficient does not changes if the scale of one or both the variables are altered.

Thus, the correct statements are: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Clara has solved the problem 6p - 12 = 72 and says that p = 14. How can you check to see if Clara is correct
Scilla [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

to check to see if she is correct, sub her answer back into the equation and check it..

6p - 12 = 72.......check if p = 14 is correct...so sub in 14 for p

6(14) - 12 = 72

84 - 12= 72

72 = 72 (correct)......so Clara got it right

Choose the pair of events that are mutually exclusive(What is not possible?)
EleoNora [17]
An event can be considered as mutually exclusive in probability and statistics when two sample propositions cannot be held as true by any means. Therefore, the pair that clearly illustrates a mutually exclusive event would be "<span>even numbers greater than 50 and prime numbers greater than 50."</span>
