Roland says the number of cups of iced tea t depends on the number of tea bags b. He says the equation represents the relationsh
nika2105 [10]

Answer:

I think Roland is correct in his statement.

Step-by-step explanation:

Roland says the number of cups of iced tea t depends on the number of tea bags b and he says the equation represents the relationship between the number of tea bags b and the cups of iced tea t = \frac{b}{1.5}.

I think Roland is correct in his statement and this is because here t is a function of b i.e. t = f(b) and hence, the number of cups of iced tea t depends on the number of tea bags b. (Answer)

Giá trị x thoả mãn x(x − 3) + x − 3 =0 là
svet-max [94.6K]

Here we will use the trial and error method.

  • We will try putting different values of x.
<h3 /><h3>1st of all</h3><h3>x=1</h3>

\begin{gathered}\\ \sf\longmapsto 1(1-3)+1-3=0\end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\\ \sf\longmapsto (-2)+1-3=0\end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\\ \sf\longmapsto -2+1-3=0\end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\\ \sf\longmapsto -2-2=0\end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\\ \sf\longmapsto -4≠0\end{gathered}

<h2>Now,</h2><h3>x=2</h3>

\begin{gathered}\\ \sf\longmapsto 2(2-3)+2-3=0\end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\\ \sf\longmapsto 2(-1)+2-3=0\end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\\ \sf\longmapsto -2+2-3=0\end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\\ \sf\longmapsto -3≠0\end{gathered}

<h2>Again,</h2><h3>x=3</h3>

\begin{gathered}\\ \sf\longmapsto 3(3-3)+3-3=0\end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\\ \sf\longmapsto 3(3-3)=0\end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\\ \sf\longmapsto 3×0=0\end{gathered}

\begin{gathered}\\ \sf\longmapsto 0=0\end{gathered}

What is the value of x in the figure below?
zhenek [66]
Again, nice problem. These are not super easy. You need to imagine the triangles in the figure and relate sides.

For instance: ADC, its hypotenuse is 15

For ABC, it is 20,

so 20/15 is the ratio between both triangles. Now let's choose the side with 'x'

x is one side of ADC, the corresponding side in ABC is 15 (the second longest sides). You need to rotate the triangles, etc ... That's the tricky part :)

So:

20/15 =15/x ----> x = 15*15/20 = 225/20 = 45/4

Which is C

Not sure whether it's too late to help you though!!!!

Also notice that it's kind of a product rule:

x * 20 = 15 * 15

I am sure the book explains a short way of getting to this equation, like sides opposite, blah blah, but what i told you is the reason. You asked for understanding it! Best luck!

Equations and inequalities!<br> solve for w <br> 11=253-w
Annette [7]

Answer:

w = 242

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Simplify both sides of the equation.

  • 11=-w + 253
  • -w + 253 = 11

Step 2: Subtract 253 from both sides.

  • -w + 253 - 253 = 11 - 253
  • -w = -242

Step 3: Divide both sides by -1.

  • \frac{-w}{-1}=\frac{-242}{-1}
  • w = 242

Step 4: Check if solution is correct.

  • 11 = 253 - (242)
  • 11 = 253 - 242
  • 11 = 11

Therefore, w = 242.

Have a lovely rest of your day/night.
