$\frac{1}{8} =0.125$ (Half of $\frac{1}{4}$ which is 0.25
$0.125$ x $5$ = 0.625

$\frac{5}{8} =0.625$

An easier way to do it is to say $\frac{5}{8}= \frac{4}{8} + \frac{1}{8}$

$\frac{4}{8} =0.5$ 1/8 = 0.125
