10=-x-14
Add x to each side
10+x=-x-14+x
10+x=-14
Subtract 10 to each side
10+x-10=-14-10
x=-24
Check:
10=-x-8-6
Substitute x with -24
10=-(-24)-8-6
10=24-8-6
10=16-6
