Which figure contains an angle bisector?

Mathematics

Answer: Figure 2.

Step-by-step explanation:

Suppose that we have an angle with measure ∠M, a bisector would be a line that divides this angle in two equal parts, such that each new angle has measures (∠M)/2

Then the correct option will be the one that has two equal angles.

In figure 2, we can see that RP divides the angle SRQ in two angles 52°, then RP is the bisector of the angle.

Then the correct option is figure 2.

A principal of $4200 is invested at 9% Interest, compounded annually. How much will the investment worth after 6 years? Use the
Harman [31]
Answer:7043.82

It would be 4200 x 1.09 which is the interest to the power of 6 for the number of years which would then give you 4200 x 1.09^6. This will then give the answer of 7043.82

What is the equation of the line (-2,-3) (4,5)
sleet_krkn [62]
Slope = m = y2-y1/x2-x1
 = 5-(-3)/4-(-2)
m=8/6
m=4/3
so  eq of line we select any of one point . i select (4,5)
y - y1 = m(x-x1)
y- 5 = 4/3 (x-4)
3y -15 = 4x-16
4x-3y = 1

Look at picture. Does anybody know the answer I’m lost?
masha68 [24]

Let x,y be the dimensions of the rectangle. We know the equations for both area and perimeter:

A=xy=36

P=2(x+y)=36 \iff x+y=18

So, we have  the following system:

\begin{cases}xy=36\\x+y=18\end{cases}

From the second equation, we can deduce

y=18-x

Plug this in the first equation to get

xy=x(18-x)=-x^2+18=36

Refactor as

x^2-18x+36=0

And solve with the usual quadratic formula to get

x=9\pm3\sqrt{5}

Both solutions are feasible, because they're both positive.

If we chose the positive solution, we have

x=9+3\sqrt{5} \implies y=18-x=18-9-3\sqrt{5}=9-3\sqrt{5}

If we choose the negative solution, we have

x=9-3\sqrt{5} \implies y=18-x=18-9+3\sqrt{5}=9+3\sqrt{5}

So, we're just swapping the role of x and y. The two dimensions of the rectangle are 9+3\sqrt{5} and 9-3\sqrt{5}
