Answer:

x=5, y=4

Step-by-step explanation:

-3x+5y=5

y=x-1

substitute y

-3x+5(x-1)=5

-3x+5x-5=5

2x=10

x=5

y=x-1

y=5-1=4

Find the first, fourth, and tenth terms of the arithmetic sequence described by the given rule. a(n)=1+(n-1)(5.7)
Klio2033 [76]
To find first term, you need substitute
n=1
<span>a(n)=1+(n-1)(5.7)
</span>a(1)= 1+(1-1)(5.7)=1
a(1) =1

Fourth term,
n=4
a(4)=1+(4-1)(5.7)
a(4) = 18.1

For 10th term,
n=10
a(10)=1+(10-1)(5.7)=52.3

Write a equation in standard form that contains a slope of 3 and contains (1,6)
jeka94

bearing in mind that standard form for a linear equation means

• all coefficients must be integers, no fractions

• only the constant on the right-hand-side

• all variables on the left-hand-side, sorted

• "x" must not have a negative coefficient

\bf (\stackrel{x_1}{1}~,~\stackrel{y_1}{6}) ~\hspace{10em} \stackrel{slope}{m}\implies 3 \\\\\\ \begin{array}{|c|ll} \cline{1-1} \textit{point-slope form}\\ \cline{1-1} \\ y-y_1=m(x-x_1) \\\\ \cline{1-1} \end{array}\implies y-\stackrel{y_1}{6}=\stackrel{m}{3}(x-\stackrel{x_1}{1})\implies y - 6 = 3x-3 \\\\\\ y=3x+3\implies -3x+y=3\implies \stackrel{\textit{standard form}}{3x-y=-3}

Please help me how to solve and what it asks me to do
Anna007 [38]
<span> Higher Order Thinking problems require you to think about the facts that are given to you in any problem and do something with those facts. This involves understanding them, infer from them, connect them to other facts and concepts, categorize them, manipulate them, put them together and apply them to find new solutions.
<span>
For example the first problem which asks to evaluate the expression 0.1(3.7). This can also mean that 1/10*3.7 = 0.37.

I hope it helps, Regards.</span></span>

How do you solve this
fiasKO [112]
(((x + y) / 3) + (1 / x)) / (5 + (15 / x))
The best way is to make it one fraction.
Multiply by ((3x/3x) / (3x/3x)) to remove the other fractions.
((x(x + y)) + 3(1)) / (5(3x) + 3(15))
(x^2 + xy + 3) / (15x + 45)
Then factor to simplify
(x^2 + xy + 3) / (3(x + 15))
