Answer:

Humans rely heavily on pollinator bees to sustain food production globally. But for decades, the insects’ population has declined, in part because of pesticide use. If the die-off continues, it will have huge economic and public health consequences for people. William Brangham reports on groups that are working on innovative ways to save the world’s jeopardized bee population — or supplement it.

The central nervous system is lacking in animals that have_________.
vivado [14]

Answer:

C)radial symmetry.

Explanation:

The central nervous system (CNS) is a part of the nervous system, it comprises the spinal cord and the brain. The brain plays in an important role in controlling most functions in the body such as movement, memory, speech etc.

Animals that have bilateral symmetry have a central nervous system because of the presence of the brain. But animals with radial symmetry such Cnidarians which include corals and jelly fish, do not have a central nervous system. Instead of the presence of neurons, they possess nerve nets.

Which of the following cellular structures reads the sequence of codons in mRNA and uses them to build a protein.(BRAINLIEST)
podryga [215]

Answer: The correct answer is- C) Ribosome.

Ribosome is a specialized cellular machinery ( made up of ribosomal RNA and proteins), which is present in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.

It acts as a site for the process of protein synthesis as it reads the codon sequence ( a sequence of three nucleotide in mRNA that codes for an amino acid) present in mRNA ( messenger RNA) and utilizes it in the process called translation ( formation of protein from mRNA).

As per the specific codon sequence of the mRNA, it links the corresponding amino acids together, which results in the formation of specific protein ( polypeptide).

Thus, option C) is the right answer.

In your own words, explain what the summary equation tells you about cellular respiration.
Levart [38]

Answer:

Sugar plus oxygen reacts together into carbon dioxide, water, and energy.

Explanation:

What the RxN tells me is that we take in sugar as well as oxygen, combine them together and react, and in turn produce carbon dioxide, water, and energy.

This makes sense, because we eat food and breathe in oxygen, so those are our reactants. When we exhale, we breathe out carbon dioxide and we go use the restroom to get rid of excess H₂O. The energy produced is used for our bodily movements.
