Mathematics

I saw this same type of question and page but with different numbers just 5 minutes ago...

Anyway here’s the answers:
1) Complementary
3x+1+44=90
3x+45=90
3x=45
x=5
2) Vertical
Ignore everything about the work. The answer is 120 degrees because they’re vertical angles.
3) Supplementary
15x-5+110=180
15x+105=180
15x=75
x=5
And I can’t see the last question clearly

Help me find the answer to this please. And also explain how to slove these problems.
Evgen [1.6K]

Answer:

B and C

Step-by-step explanation:

Minimum and Maximum points occur when the gradient of the function is equal to 0. Graphically this looks like a bend such that the function dips from decreasing to increasing (the gradient goes form being negative to positive) and vice versa.

A minimum point occurs where all the nearby values are higher than that of the point in question.

A maximum point occurs where all the nearby points are lower than the point in question.

By looking at the graph, there is a maximum point around (4.5, 1.5) which is consistent with B but not A (since A talks about a minimum point)

By looking at the graph, there is a minimum point around (0.5, 1.5) which is consistent with C.

I've highlighted areas of interest below so hopefully that's helpful :>

What is the volume of the square pyramid with base edges 32 mm and slant height 34 mm?
NeX [460]

Answer:

The answer to your question is 10240 mm³

Step-by-step explanation:

Data

length of the base = 32 mm

length of the height = 34 mm

Formula

Volume of a pyramid = 1/3 x Area of the base x length of the height

Process

1.- Calculate the area of the base

Area = side x side

        = 32 x 32

        = 1024 mm²

2.- Find the height of the pyramid using the Pythagorean theorem

height² = 34² - 16²

height² = 1156 - 256

height² = 900

height = 30

3.- Calculate the volume of the pyramid

Volume = 1/3Area x height

             = 1/3(1024 x 30)

             = (30720)/3 mm³

             = 10240 mm³

Peter works as a delivery person for a bike shipping company. The graph shows a linear model for his delivery times on different
aev [14]

Answer/Step-by-step explanation:

✍️The equation of the line in point-slope form:

The equation is given as y - b = m(x - a), where,

(a, b) = a point on the line.

slope (m) = \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1}

Let's find the slope (m) of the line, housing (3, 21) and (6, 12):

slope (m) = \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1} = \frac{12 - 21}{6 - 3} = \frac{-9}{3} = -3

Substitute a = 3 and b = 21, m = -3 into y - b = m(x - a).

Thus, the point-slope equation would be:

✅y - 21 = -3(x - 3)

✍️The equation of the line in slope-intercept form:

Rewrite y - 21 = -3(x - 3), so that y is made the subject of the formula.

y - 21 = -3x + 9

Add 21 to both sides

y = -3x + 9 + 21

y = -3x + 30

✅The slope-intercept equation of the line is y = -3x + 30

Where,

-3 = how much did his delivery time decrease per day (slope)

30 = how long it initially took Peter to deliver his packages (y-intercept)
