Scientifically, there are various definitions for acid, but to the person who is not familiar with chemistry it can only be explained by experiment.

A simple experiment of acid and baking soda can be performed here. Suppose you have a solution in your house and you need to check if it is acidic or not, just add it to some amount of baking soda, if bubbles are formed, it confirms the solution is acidic. In this way, one can help a person to identify an acidic solution who is not familiar with chemistry.

To the person who is familiar with chemistry, it can be explained as a solution that turns blue litmus paper red and in the pH meter, the pH value lies between 0 to 7. If the value is close to zero, the acid is strong and it is weak if the value is close to 7. Here the pH of given  solution is 1.2 that means it is a strong acid.

ludmilkaskok [199]

Answer:

6 different frequencies

Explanation:

From energy level 1 to 2 is one frequency, from energy level 1 to 3 is one frequency and From energy level 1 to 4 is one frequency. So, we have a total of 3 frequencies for transition from energy level 1.

From energy level 2 to 3 is one frequency and from energy level 2 to 4 is one frequency. So, we have a total of 2 frequencies for transition from energy level 2.

From energy level 3 to 4 is one frequency.

So we have a total of 3 + 2 + 1 different frequencies = 6 different frequencies.

Note that the reverse process for each step produces the same frequency as the step in consideration.

How many protons and electrons are present in Au+?
balandron [24]

Answer:

Protons: 79

Electrons: 78

Explanation:

1. The number of protons is the atomic number (The atomic number for Au on the periodic table is 79)

2. Since the charge is +1 (positive) it means that there's one more proton than electrons. So, 79-1 = 78 electrons
