I think it’s y=1/4x bc if you plug it into the equation:
x= 2 cups of flour
y = 1/2 cups of sugar
the equation: y=1/4x
1/2=1/4(2)
1/2 = 1/2 which makes the equation true, or just plug in the numbers to the equation to see if it’s fits right
final: y=1/4x
i hope this helped

The Bureau of Labor Statistics1 in the US tells us that, in 2010, the unemployment rate for high school graduates with no colleg
mars1129 [50]

Answer:

p_1 -p_2 = 0.097-0.052 = 0.045

So then the difference between the two proportions is 0.045 and if we convert this into % we got

0.045*100= 4.5%

Step-by-step explanation:

For this case we can define the following notation:

p_1 represent the unemployment rate for high school graduates with no college degree

p_2 represent the unemployment rate for college graduates with a bachelor's degree

And for this case we need to find the difference in proportions of those unemployed between these two groups, we want to find:

p_1 -p_2

From the info given we have p_1 = \frac{9.7}{100}=0.097

p_2 = \frac{5.2}{100}=0.052

And the difference:

p_1 -p_2 = 0.097-0.052 = 0.045

So then the difference between the two proportions is 0.045 and if we convert this into % we got

0.045*100= 4.5%

A certain forest covers an area of 2400 km^2. Suppose that each year this area decreases by 5.75%. What will the area be after 8
kolezko [41]
We have to use the function A(t)= a(1 +/- r)^t
So A is going to be the answer- the area after 8 years. t is going to be 8, because t is time. a is 2400 because that's the starting value. Finally, we're going to turn 5.75% into it's decimal form of .0575. That's going to be r, and because the area is decreasing, we will subtract r from 1.
Our new function is:
A=2400(1-.0575)^8
Simplify a little bit.
A=2400(.9425)^8
Bring .9425 to to power of 8 and then multiply by 2400 because PEDMAS.
A=1494.38366866
The rounded answer is 1494 kilometers squared.
