This is a rectangular prism,

Here length = 16 m

Width = 6 m

Height = 3 m

Surface area of rectangular prism = 2( bl + lh + hb )

Where,

b – base length of the rectangular prism.

l – base width of the rectangular prism.

h – height of the rectangular prism.

Putting these values, surface area = 2(16×6 + 16×3+ 3×6)

= 2( 96+48+18) = 2×162 = 324m

hope you get it well :)

University students were surveyed randomly in their opinion regarding a recent tuition increase. The minimum age required with 1
Viktor [21]

Solution: We are given that the minimum age required is 18 and the maximum age required is 45.

The range rule of thumb states that range is about four times the standard deviation.

Range \approx 4 \times s

Where s denotes the standard deviation.

\therefore s \approx \frac{Range}{4}

        \approx \frac{45-18}{4}

        \approx \frac{27}{4}

        \approx 6.75

Therefore, using the range rule of thumb, the standard deviation is 6.75

50 POINTS!!! Word problem.
oksano4ka [1.4K]
Let d = # of dimes
Let q = # of quarters
45 = d + q
.1d + .25q = 8.40
Then we can use the substitution method and make it so that d = 45 - q.
Then plug in the value for d into the second equation.
.1(45-q)+.25(q)=8.40
4.5-.1q+.25q=8.40
4.5+.15q = 8.40
.15q = 3.90
q = 26
d = 45 - 26 = 19
26 quarters
19 dimes

Train travels at 3 hours if it's speed is 65 miles per hour. It takes the train 2.5 hours if it's speed is 78 per hour . Identif
seraphim [82]

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the original speed of the train be x km/h.

Time taken to cover a distance of 360 km =  360/x hours.

New speed of the train = (x+5) km/h.

Time taken to cover a distance of 360 km at new speed = 360/x+5 hours.

Since, the train takes 1 hour less time,

∴360/x - 360/ x+5 = 1

⇒360 (5) = x² + 5x

⇒1800 = x² + 5x

⇒x² + 5x - 1800 = 0

⇒x² + 45x - 40x - 1800 = 0

⇒x (x+45) - 40( x +45) = 0

⇒(x+45) (x-40) = 0

⇒x = (-45), 40

But since speed cannot be in negative.

∴x = 40 km/hr.

Hence, the original speed of the train is 40 km/h.
