Answer:

2x^{2} + 11x -21 cm^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a rectangle = Length × Width

= (2x-3)(x+7)

Multiply 2x with x, 2x with +7, -3 with x and -3 with +7

= 2x^{2} + 14x - 3x - 21

= 2x^{2} + 11x -21 cm^{2}

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Length (L)= 2x - 3 cm

Breadth (b) = x + 7 cm

Area of the rectangle

= L * b

= ( 2x - 3)(x+ 7)

= 2x(x + 7) - 3(x + 7)

= 2x² + 14x  - 3x - 21

=( 2x² + 11x - 21) cm²

hope it helps

there are four semi trailer trucks parked in a line at the rest stop after the first truck each truck in the line weighs 2 tons
alexira [117]
Call the weght of the first truck "w_{1}". We then know that the truck after that is 2 tons more, and the next and the next. i.e:
w_{2} = w_{1} + 2
w_{3} = (w_{2} + 2) = (w_{1}+4)
w_{4} = (w_{3} + 2) = (w_{1}+6)

We also know that total is 32 tons.
w_{total} = 32 = (w_{1}) + (w_{2}) + (w_{3}) + (w_{4})
32 = (w_{1})+(w_{1}+2)+(w_{1}+4)+(w_{1}+6)
32= 4(w_{1})+12
20=4(w_{1})
w_{1} = 5 tons

Therefore the trukcs weigh 5,7,9 and 11 tons for a total of 32 tons.

Converting to pounds, the trucks weigh 10,000, 14,0000, 18,0000 and 22,000 pounds.

Find an equation of the line in the form whose x-intercept is 15 and y-intercept is 3, where a, b, and c are integers with n
madreJ [45]

x-intercept = (15, 0)                  y-intercept = (0, 3)

slope (m) = (y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ - x₁) = (0 - 3)/(15 - 0) = -3/15 = -1/5

Point-Slope formula: y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)   ; where (x₁, y₁) is one of the given points

y - 0 = (-1/5)(x - 15)

    -5y = x - 15

             x + 5y = 15

Answer: x + 5y = 15
