"determine the ratio of the volume of a" cone to the volume of a cylinder with the same height and base radius:

Volume of cone is 10
if the radius is r and height is h
while volume of cylinder is pi r 2nd power h,
volume of cone is 1/3 pi r 2nd power h.
hence with same r and h the volume of cone is one-third of that of cylinder and hence
volume of cone is 10.

the highest of three cylinders are 3 cm 9 cm and 5 cm if the cylinder has a capacity of 725 calculate the capacitance of the oth
Allushta [10]

The capacitance of the other cylinders are 2174. 94cm³ and 1208. 30cm³.

How to find the capacitance

Capacity of a cylinder is seen as its volume

Volume of a cylinder = πr²h

The heights of the cylinders are

a. 3cm

b. 9cm

c. 5cm

Let's find the radius

Capacity = 3. 142 × r² × 3

725 = 3. 142 × r² × 3

r² = \frac{725}{3. 142 * 3}

r² = \frac{725}{9. 426}

r² = 76. 91

r = √76. 91

r = 8. 77cm

Radius of the cylinders = 8. 77cm

For cylinder with height of 9cm

Capacitance = πr²h

Capacitance = 3. 142 × 8. 77 × 8. 77 × 9

Capacitance = 2174. 94 cm³

For cylinder with height of 5cm

Capacitance = 3. 142 × 8. 77 × 8. 77 × 5

Capacitance = 1208. 30 cm³

Thus, the capacitance of the other cylinders are 2174. 94cm³ and 1208. 30cm³.
